Job Qualification Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to
-Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D
-Completion of a recognized vocational or technical training program in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or a related field
-Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair and maintenance, including at least two(2) years in a lead or supervisory role.
-Experience with ARFF vehicles and emergency generators is preferred but not required.
-Shall have no record of felony or criminal conviction

Performs and supervises advanced mechanical repair and maintenance activities for Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, emergency generators, heavy equipment, and related mechanical systems.
-Performs advance diagnostics, repair, overhaul, and preventative maintenance on ARFF vehicles, emergency generators, heavy equipment and related mechanical systems.
-Assigns and coordinates work activities of subordinate mechanics and provides technical guidance and oversight
-Ensures proper application of manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
-Reviews work orders and recommend modifications when necessary to ensure safe and effective repairs
-Coordinates preventative maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness of ARFF equipment.
-Responds to urgent and emergency repair needs to support ARFF operational requirements.
-Ensures compliance with applicable local laws, federal regulations, FAA standards, OSHA requirements and CPA policies and procedures
-Maintains accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
-Prepares and submits technical and operational reports as required.
-Provides training, instruction, and technical assistance to subordinate personnel.
-Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements, upgrades, or replacements
